Psychotherapy is collaboration between a psychotherapist and a client (individual, couple, family or group) The purpose of therapy is to enter into a therapeutic journey in a safe and trusting environment where it is possible to deal with issues of a traumatic or psychological nature.
Building the inner strength and facing the trauma and distress of the past, present and anticipated future, the therapist and client are able to rewire, challenge and learn to deal with the life challenges that brought about the search for therapy.
Psychotherapy provides a safe, unbiased and confidential relationship with a trained professional to assess, understand and treat psychological distress, while also providing the opportunity to adjust and release unhealthy habits. Within a space of safety, psychotherapy can facilitate a heightened awareness and a sense of accountability that can add meaning and a sense of purpose to everyday life.

About the Therapist
As an Organisational Psychologist and Workplace Counsellor, Inge-Amé works from a strengths-based and meaning-centred perspective, helping clients uncover their potential and thrive both personally and professionally. Her approach integrates evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, while drawing on the Appreciative Inquiry framework to focus on possibilities, growth, and positive change.
Guided by Viktor Frankl’s insight, “Those who have a ‘why’ to live can bear with almost any ‘how’,” she believes that purpose is the foundation of resilience. Through individual counselling and coaching, and organisational consulting, she helps individuals and teams find clarity, balance, and meaning, even amid challenge and uncertainty.
As a graduate of North-West University, Inge-Amé holds a Bachelor of Communication Management (majoring in Industrial and Organisational Psychology), a Bachelor of Industrial and Organisational Psychology Honours, and a Master’s in Industrial and Organisational Psychology.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being in nature, and finding inspiration in books and poetry; simple moments that remind her of the same balance, meaning, and authenticity she strives to help others rediscover in their own lives.
